Friendship/Dyad Therapy
I work with friends/dyads who are experiencing conflict, having difficulty expressing their feelings, and/or needing help navigating their dynamic. Friendship therapy is kind of like couples therapy but between two friends who are serious about and interested in working on their relationship. Often this is with a current friend, but former friends may also come to therapy if they would like to reconnect and repair a rupture.
Friendships are indispensable so why not treat them with similar consideration as other relationships? As relational beings, we thrive off meaningful connection with others. It's like food for our soul. The health of our relationships is often reflective of the health within ourselves. I believe it is of enormous benefit that we nurture these relationships and give them the love and energy they deserve. I work with friends/dyads to help them navigate and tend to their concerns and conflict in an honest and meaningful way, helping them find resolution and understanding, so that their relationship may grow and prosper rather than fracture and fall apart.
This type of therapy can also be applied to other dyadic relationships including co-workers, business partners, siblings, or other dyadic family relationships.
